Georgia Tech Cats - iNaturalist

The link above contains a detailed list (with pictures!) of all of the cats on the Georgia Tech campus we have found so far. Have you seen a cat that is not listed on iNaturalist? Let us know!

  • Daisy

Daisy is a friendly dilute calico that hides in the storm drains around Tech Tower and visits the Tech Tower feeding station. She is quite large and though many have speculated at various times that she may be pregnant, no confirmation has ever been made so it is unlikely. The alternate name “Two-Face” refers to her split facial coloration, with the left half being slaty gray and the right being ginger. She has been present for 8-9 years as of 2024.

  • Mimi

Mimi is a skittish short-haired black-and-white cat with a black chin spot. They first appeared around the Klaus/Architecture buildings in Fall 2023 but have been fairly transient since then. They have showed up at various places on central campus including Van Leer and the Eco-Commons multi-use gravel path. Note that Momo is a different black-and-white also appeared around the same time, but who lacks a chin spot and whose black patches are more broken up.

  • Momo

Momo is a generally approachable black-and-white cat with a large black spot on the left shoulder and no black spot on the chin. In Spring 2024, they have been spotted at Boggs, Howey, Bunger-Henry, the Community Garden, the Divine Nine Plaza, and Dunkin’. The cropped ear suggests that they have been TNR’d. Although generally friendly, do keep in mind that Momo is a feral cat and has scratched several people. Avoid head pats and do not chase.

  • Gracie

Gracie is a small brown tabby with a white flash on her chest. She has been regularly spotted between Klaus and the Architecture buildings since at least 2023. She is suspected to be a former housecat. Since early 2024, she has been receiving veterinary treatment after being diagnosed with FIV, and has had two dental surgeries. She was adopted by a member of our organization and is doing great inside.

  • Georgie

Georgie is a white and orange cat that lived behind the Caddell building. He has blue eye and one green eye. He was taken to receive veterinary care this summer where it was discovered he has environmental allergies that caused his respiratory symptoms. He was adopted due to this and has been feeling much better with reduced allergen exposure.

  • Jackie

Jack is a small tortoiseshell cat that frequents the area immediately around Tech Tower. She is generally shy and skittish, but sightings are frequent with many students reporting passing by her on their way to class. She has been warming up to people recently and asking for pets. She has been adopted this summer by a club member and received a clean bill of health.

  • Clove

Clove (also Martini, Marta, Marticia) is a tortoiseshell with large ginger patches on her back that has been recorded on West Campus since at least April 2022, when she was spotted with two kittens (Fish Cake and an unnamed black cat) in the President’s Estate. Both of her kittens seem to have stuck around in the same area and have been seen associating with each other since. Usually found near a gate at GLC. Clove was adopted in May of 2024 by a couple living on campus.

  • Void

The void or just Void is a skittish black cat that has been seen associating with Momo. She has not yet allowed students to approach her but she has come within a distance of one meter of a student after she offered her treats. She tends to hang out in the center campus area around the parking garage. She is distinguished from other black cats due to her unique nose shape and smaller size.

  • Murphy

Well-built ginger tomcat that frequents East Campus and has been recorded at least since Spring 2023. Generally active at night. Seems to visit the Tech Tower feeding area but has also been spotted farther afield at the Delta Chi feeding station, and between WCF and BCM off Techwood.

  • Fish Cake

Fish Cake is a short-haired ginger cat. They were first observed as a kitten with their tortoiseshell mother and black sibling in April 2022, and has continually been sighted in the same places as them, namely the retention pond behind the BioQuad and the area behind Nanotechnology. Fish Cake is actually two short-haired ginger cats that live in and around the BioQuad/Eco-Commons, and it is unclear what their relation may be, but they do hang out.
